The Dhanvanthri Nilayam Vaidyasalai was established in the year1945 by Dr. S. Velayutham Pillai. Later his son, Dr. V. Somasekar developed and brought up this into a prestigious institution in this area. Now this institution is progressing sucessfully through the third generation, Dr. S. D. Premvel, B.A.M.S and Dr. S.D. Karthick Vel B.A.M.S with dedication in their service to people.

       Dhanvanthri ( God of Medicine ) Dhanvanthri, the presiding supreme of medicale lore and incarnation of Lord Vishnu, is said to have emerged out of the milky ocean with Amirtha in his hand.
