The Dhanvanthri Nilayam Vaidyasalai was established in the year 1945 by Dr. S. Velayutham Pillai. Later his son, Dr. V. Somasekar developed and brought up this into a prestigious institution in this area. Now this institution is progressing sucessfully through the third generation, Dr. S. D. Premvel, B.A.M.S and Dr. S.D. Karthic Vel B.A.M.S with dedication in their service to people.
